National Distribution and Industry Support
National Distribution and Industry Support
The International Safe Company (ISC) supplies safes and security products across Australia through a combination of direct supply and a nationwide network of authorised dealers and installers.
Based in Western Australia, our team regularly works with customers across industries including mining, oil & gas, construction, logistics, manufacturing, and commercial operations. These sectors increasingly rely on rechargeable battery technology, creating new safety challenges around battery storage and charging.
By partnering with Phoenix Safe Company, one of the world’s longest-established safe manufacturers, Battery Safes Australia is bringing specialist lithium battery storage solutions to the Australian market.
Our role includes:
- Supplying Phoenix Battery Safes across Australia
- Supporting commercial and industrial customers with battery storage solutions
- Providing product guidance for lithium battery risk management
- Working with businesses to select the right cabinet size and configuration
With growing awareness around lithium battery fire risks, dedicated battery storage solutions are becoming an important part of workplace safety planning. Battery Safes Australia is committed to helping Australian organisations implement practical solutions that protect people, property, and operations.
About Phoenix Battery Safes
Phoenix is a globally recognised manufacturer of certified security and fire protection products, and Battery Safes Australia is their authorised distributor for the Australian market.
Their battery safe range — the BS0440, BS1280, BS1930, and BS1940 series — is independently certified to the VDMA 24994:2024-08 standard by ECB·S, one of Europe’s leading independent testing bodies. These units are purpose-built for lithium battery containment and charging, with reinforced double-wall steel construction, integrated ventilation, built-in power outlets, and a choice of key, electronic, or biometric locking.
Phoenix products are in active use by government agencies, industrial operators, schools, and commercial facilities across the UK and Europe. As Australian distributor, we bring that proven product range to the local market — backed by our own expertise in safe supply, installation, and compliance support.
We exist because the Australian market needed a dedicated, knowledgeable supplier for professional-grade battery storage solutions. As lithium battery use grows across worksites, warehouses, schools, and commercial facilities, so does the risk of thermal runaway events — and the demand for compliant, purpose-built containment.
Australian Stock and Support
All products are available for supply to businesses across Australia. We maintain local stock to support prompt delivery, and our team can assist with product selection, compliance documentation, and installation guidance.
Whether you’re a WHS officer specifying a solution for a WorkSafe audit, a facilities manager sourcing for a school or council fleet, or a trade operator needing certified storage for power tool batteries — we can help you identify the right unit and get the paperwork in order.
What we supply
Our range covers battery storage safes across three product series — the BS0440, BS1280, BS1930, and BS1940 — each certified to the VDMA 24994:2024-08 standard by ECB·S, an independent testing body recognised across Europe and increasingly referenced by Australian workplace safety authorities.
These aren’t modified gun safes or repurposed filing cabinets. Each unit is purpose-designed for lithium battery containment, with reinforced double-wall steel construction, integrated ventilation, built-in power outlets for safe in-cabinet charging, and options for key, electronic, or biometric locking.
Who we supply
Our customers are typically businesses, trade operators, and organisations that store or charge lithium batteries in a workplace setting — power tool users, e-bike fleet operators, industrial facilities, schools, councils, and any site where a battery incident would represent a serious safety or compliance risk.
We work with procurement managers, WHS officers, facilities teams, and business owners who want a solution they can point to in a WorkSafe audit and say: this is a certified product, installed correctly, for exactly this purpose.
A brief history of the Phoenix Safe Company
The founding team stepped back and a new management group took the helm. A significant program of product development and infrastructure investment followed, laying the groundwork for Phoenix's expansion into new security categories.
Responding to the rapid growth of lithium battery use and the fires and safety incidents it was causing globally, Phoenix developed and launched a dedicated range of battery storage safes — purpose-built containment units engineered specifically for lithium-ion batteries.
After contributing to the development of the world's first lithium battery storage test standard through the ESSA/ECB·S working group, Phoenix achieved VDMA 24994:2024-08 certification for the BS1940 Battery Commander Pro Series in May 2025 — making it the most rigorously certified battery safe available anywhere in the world.
